Oh, I had a good time creating this one! It gave me fits (in my mind) because I didn't know what direction I wanted to take with it, but after the purchaser sent me a photo for inspiration of what she wanted, I knew how it needed to look.
It needed to be a soft piece, meaning I didn't want a lot going on when you looked at it, other than color. I added reduction glass to it, the beads with the "mirrored" look to them, using Double-Helix glass. There's lots of color going on here and it really does look like the photo, doesn't it? The Double-Helix glass reminded me of the pots and bowls in the photo, with their blue and brown patina's. This was a joy to create.
The charm is a new one for me, an Alladin's Lamp. It struck me as I kept going back to the inspiration photo, seeing all those small bottles and all the wishes that they might hold in them... and that's where I got the idea to go looking for a lamp. :) I truly adore how this turned out and I hope you love it too!
